This is an original IDF (Israel Defense Forces) military cover mailed in 1969 during the War of Attrition era. The cover was carried under IDF free-franking privileges and processed through military postal censorship.

Front of Cover

• Circular Tel Aviv–Jaffa machine cancel, dated 13 May 1969.
• Violet triangular IDF military censor cachet, examiner No. 2150.
• Addressed in Hebrew to a civilian in Tel Aviv.
• Affixed with a 1969 “Security Loan” fundraising label (not valid for postage).
• Label promotes the national Defense Loan program funding the Kfir (Mirage-derived) fighter jet.

  • Label is present but not tied by the postmark.

Reverse

• Additional handwritten military postal/censor routing notations, including the military postal code 192700.
• Censor number 2150 repeated in manuscript.
• No civilian backstamp, consistent with military-to-civilian routing.

• A fully solved Hebrew crossword puzzle clipped from Ma’ariv newspaper, puzzle No. 646.
• The puzzle dates precisely to the same week as the postmark (May 1969).
• Excellent confirmation of authenticity and non-philatelic origin: a soldier solving the crossword and mailing it home.
