Greece, often considered the birthplace of Western Civilization, is a country in southeastern Europe which sits on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea with borders on the Sea of Crete, the Ionian Sea and the Aegean Sea. It shares land borders with Albania, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria to the north and Turkey on the east.  It's the home of ancient philosophers, mythology, art, and the Olympic games. These themes are all reflected in its stamps.
