An exceptional and remarkably comprehensive collection of Bermuda postal stationery. According to the previous owner’s inventory, this collection was assembled as a comprehensive run and appears to be nearly complete for the areas represented. It is a specialized run spanning from the Queen Victoria period through King George issues and into the Queen Elizabeth II era.

The collection begins with the classic Queen Victoria Universal Postal Union postal cards and progresses through later Victorian and King George stationery, including different denominations, overprints and surcharges, ship-design cards, registered stationery and other specialized issues. It then continues into an extensive range of Air Letters and Aerogrammes, including numerous different rates, designs and commemorative issues, and extends into later Queen Elizabeth II and decimal-period postal stationery.

Most of the collection appears to be unused, which makes the holding particularly attractive to the specialist. The presence of multiple formats, denominations and apparently intentional duplication also suggests that the collection was assembled with more than basic type collecting in mind.

Overall condition is very attractive for material of this age. General condition is Very Fine or better, but there may be some hidden faults, though none were noted. The earlier stationery shows some light age toning in places, but the collection is generally clean and well preserved, with much of the later material appearing especially fresh.
