Allenstein (Germany) 1-28 Mint Hinged Complete Country

This collection includes all the stamps issued by Allenstein during its brief existence as a country in 1920. It is a district in eastern Prussia which after World War I held a plebiscite and voted to join Germany. During its period of sovereignty it issued two sets of postage stamps by overprinting German stamps.
